Board of Directors

The Board of Directors which is the top decision-making organ is the Board, is chaired by a Medical Doctor and comprises 7 (seven) members. The Board makes policies, oversees the organization’s operations and provides overall directions.

Staff

The Executive Director and the Office Manager together run the administrative aspect of the organization. The Program Units is headed by the Program Manager based at the headquarters working together with the Program Officer who oversees field activities. Field Staff are attached to every project. In addition, St. James Masiro Health Services employs the services of fully qualified health personnel and volunteers.

Volunteers

HESED Africa works with volunteers, both national and international in all thematic areas of intervention.

We work with individual and group volunteers. In Siaya there are provisions for volunteers to stay with local families.

Internships

HESED Africa welcomes the hosting of interns in a bid to mentor young people while training them on the job in community development activities. One such program has been developed with the CLC, based in Kibera. The students get involved with community service for 6 months before they enroll for college studies.
